The idea with Between The Framelines Podcast is to share the story behind the stories of some of the interesting images and assignments that I have covered during my carrier as a photographer. I will be interviewing people about their craft and the stories behind them. The goal is to get into what drives them to produce work, images, art and how they see the world.
My first episode is dedicated to my Dad, Bob Duncan. It was through his eyes that I learned to see the world from a different point of view as he photographed our family living overseas in Egypt during the 1970's.
I was fortunate to work as a photojournalist for the first 12 years of my career. Covering NASCAR, Pro & College Football games, U.S. Marines Corps training, world and national news (much of which ran on the AP wire) as well as special projects and local stories in my community.
I have gone freelance twice with my photography career to run David Duncan Photography and worked as a Photography Manager in the Marketing Department at one of the largest Christian Universities in the Country, Liberty University. I also taught as an Adjunct Instructor at a Liberal Arts Private College, Randolph College, where I taught Intro to Digital Video, Advance Multimedia Storytelling and Intro to Photography for 4 years.
